SPIRIT-OF-EXCELLENCE DISCIPLESHIP is our response to God's call on our lives to exhibit and lead those connected to us to develop and exercise the Biblical qualities of an excellent spirit that was found in the prophet Daniel.

In mid-2020 while serving and leading in many capacities at our home church of over 7 years, the Lord spoke to us, simply saying "It's time to go". We didn't know where we were "going" at the time but we were obedient and said okay. And as we obeyed the word of the Lord, He began directing us as to what our next steps were to be; to work in an organized and active way towards promoting and reviving the spirit of excellence throughout the body of Christ; the church of the living God.

On January 1st, 2021 we made the assignment that God has given us to do known publically through the launch of our SPIRIT-OF-EXCELLENCE
DISCIPLESHIP FACEBOOK GROUP as a way to connect with those that the Lord would draw to us through that platform.

For over 10 years the Lord has been giving us different pieces for this work and planting the desire for the spirit of excellence in our hearts. When the time was right, and the call was made He directed us to go back to those things which He had already given us. So we just went to the files and documents that were made as teaching lessons and thoughts throughout the years and combined them for this assignment, using our E'S-OF-EXCELLENCE [4E'S] as the foundation.

Having both been a part of discipleship groups (life groups) we both have grown to understand and appreciate this needed aspect of a successful Christian walk. So again when The Lord called us to launch this work, we knew that without a shadow of a doubt, it was going to be about discipleship.
​

In 2010 while serving together in the youth ministry department at our then-local church we began dating and courting. Early on we knew that what we had together was God-ordained and on September 27th of 2011 at the leading of the Holy Spirit we committed ourselves to each other in marriage. Since then we have been blessed with our 3 children (Ethan, Dillan, and Cassidy).

I, Damian work full-time as Senior Program Coordinator at Elevate Your G.A.M.E., a non-profit organization mentoring urban youth in the Greater Los Angeles Area. I have been in this role since 2012 facilitating EYG Mentoring Programs on high school campuses in Compton, Harbor City, Long Beach, L.A., and Lynwood.
​
And I Yalisa, am a proud stay-at-home mom spending my days homeschooling our children which we have been doing since 2020. Also, when time permits, I work on all kinds of graphic design projects through my business Visionheir Graphics. I have been in the Graphic Design field since 2008 and have a passion for creating and designing which I have been doing most of my life.
We have both been in some form of ministry all of our adult lives and going back to when we were young adults and even youth (Yalisa).

We have both been publicly recognized as having a call on our lives to the Five-fold Ministry and we believe that God has anointed and equipped us to teach & bring about actions in the lives of others that reflect the SPIRIT-OF-EXCELLENCE through DISCIPLESHIP.
​
Also, we have been certified as a Marriage Mentor Couple and love to connect with couples in that regard.
