SOED Annual Heart Check
14 And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.” 17 And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. 18 And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) 20 And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

Over the next three weeks; 14TH (pre-recorded for YouTube), 21ST &28TH (Tuesday nights on Zoom) we will be using Mark 7:14-23 as the foundation of our Bible Studies as we engage in a personal heart check-up to see if any of the 13 evil things that Jesus says defile a person are present within ourselves.

Foolishness
This will be a time to discover any signs or potential risk factors that could lead to us being defiled by what is coming out of our hearts.
A heart check-up is the only way to know if you are defiled or just at risk of being defiled, and with all that's going on in the world around us, we are better off knowing where we stand than assuming.
So join us in our annual heart check Bible Study + Discussion throughout this month to ensure that we are living or to begin living a life from the inside out that is pleasing to God through the study of the scriptures and examining the state of our hearts and our faithfulness to God.
