October SOED Campaign
Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Throughout October we focus on the topic of "SERVING THE LORD". Last month we spent time reading and studying Daniel 3-6 and saw that Daniel and the 3 Hebrew boys were known as "SERVANTS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD/LIVING GOD". This was not just something that they did on occasion, but it was who they were.
Again, we are determined to develop the same SPIRIT-OF-EXCELLENCE that was found in them by developing “the qualities” that bring about it, we will continue to apply who they were and what they did as the Spirit leads. So for the next 21 days (5th-25th), we will read a select group of chapters on the topic of "SERVING THE LORD" with Matthew 6:24 being our foundation to build upon.
Now, during the 21 Days don’t go into this reading with the mindset of just reading the chapters, but spend quality time in the scriptures. Set aside time each week for this throughout the 21 days. Read them, study them, meditate/think on/about them. Let's look at them as if we have never seen them before. Let's also ask the Lord to give us a new revelation of the scriptures every time we sit down to read the word and to give us a complete understanding.
We see in the scriptures; Daniel 3-6 that Daniel and the 3 Hebrew boys benefitted greatly because of their commitment to "SERVE THE LORD" and they were able to bring glory to God because of it. Let us believe that if we for the next 21 days would seek to do them as they were and truly "SERVE GOD" and only Him (Matthew 6:24) we too would be seen and recognized as people who have the SPIRIT-OF-EXCELLENCE in us and become vessels that God will bless and use to do tremendous things in the world.
