THE BOOK OF PROVERBS |31 DAYS / 31 CHAPTERS

Happy New Year!!!

Start the new year off with us as we read through The Book of Proverbs. We will study and meditate on this book 1 Chapter at a time throughout the month (31 days) in hopes that we, like Daniel, will be “skillful in all wisdom” as we continue to seek to be marked by the spirit of excellence. Whether it’s one verse or multiple verses, we believe that the comprehension of what is written in these chapters will benefit us greatly.

Each day of the month we will read 1 Chapter a day; 31 Chapters - 31 Days in all, and meditate on the verses that speak to us. We would love for you to share the verses that stand out and any thoughts and or questions you have with us in our Facebook Group or here on the Campaign Blog. Along with this, on Tuesdays, we will gather on Zoom for our Remote Bible Study where we will share our thoughts on that day's chapter (10th,17th, 24th & 31ST) and then open it up for a group discussion.

So join us this month as we bring in the new year and see what wisdom from above we can receive from the word of God.

Day 2 / Proverbs 2

Vs 2 Turn your ear toward wisdom, and stretch your mind toward understanding. 3 Call out for insight, and cry aloud for understanding. 4 Seek it like silver; search for it like hidden treasure. 5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD , and discover the knowledge of God. 6 The LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:2‭-‬6

Takeaway: It takes intention and effort to get wisdom & understanding. It requires us to spend time with God, our father. We have to look & listen for them. They come from His mouth & are of great value.

My Takeaway ~ Day 1 ~ Proverbs chapter 1 Verses 29 thru 31 stood out to me.  Proverbs 1:29-31 because they hated knowledge and didn’t choose the fear of the LORD. They didn’t want my advice; they rejected all my corrections.  They will eat from the fruit of their way, and they’ll be full of their own schemes. This reminded me of a verse we talked about at the last bible study... Hebrews 12:11 says... No discipline (correction, reproof) seems pleasant at the time, but it will yield the fruit of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it.  •So He is correcting us so that we can bear good fruit in our lives.  So that we can…
